The role will be involved in supporting the finance team, line manager and employees with all aspects of finance and providing excellent finance and administration service to the Squared staff through the smooth running of the office and ensuring that the reputation and work of the department is of a high standard. These are the things you'll need to do in your role. Working within the team of Finance you will: Administer the incoming and outgoing post and accounts email inbox Assist with rent ledgers, processing receipts, and related administration and housekeeping Assist with purchase ledgers, processing payments, processing invoices and related administration and housekeeping. Assist with sales ledgers, processing receipts, raising invoices and related administration and housekeeping Assist colleagues from other departments with information, guidance and query resolution Investigate accounting queries through to resolution Assist and provide cover as and when required by finance team and wider Squared team Carry out any other appropriate duties as directed by senior finance staff/managers Comply with the requirements of the financial regulations Understand and follow Squared's policies and procedures, including Health and Safety and Fairness Policy, reporting any concerns as required under legislation and Local Authority procedures. Essential Some Finance department experience Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative Ability to adopt a methodical approach and work within systems and procedures Able to handle sensitive data and be competent in maintaining clear and accurate records Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines Desirable An accounts clerical qualification such as AAT Experience of working in a social housing environment Experience of using accounting software and payroll programmes
