Contract type: Permanent FTE/Hours: 10 Hours per week (12:30 - 14:30 Monday - Friday) Working weeks: Term Time Only Salary: TPLTSS1 £5,668.66 (actual salary)Location: The King Alfred School Closing date: 26th April 2026 Interview dates: TBC Proposed start date: 25th May 2026 The Priory Learning Trust (Somerset Business Award winner for Employer of the Year 2023) is looking to recruit a Lunchtime Supervisor to work at The King Alfred School - An Academy in Highbridge - rated 'Good' by Ofsted November 2022. Are you passionate about working with children and creating a vibrant, enjoyable lunchtime experience? We’re looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to support in our vibrant secondary school community. In this rewarding role, you will help ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable lunchtime experience for our students, where students can relax, recharge, and thrive. Your duties will include the set up and clean down of the dining hall, supervising students, promoting positive behavior and assisting with any minor issues that may arise. If you’re passionate about supporting young people, have great communication skills, and enjoy working in a school environment, we’d love to hear from you! About the roleSupervise students during lunchtime in dining areas, outdoor spaces, and corridors to maintain safety and good behaviour. Ensure students follow school rules, including proper conduct during meals, in queues, and in designated areas. Help keep the dining area clean by tidying up spillages and assisting with litter picking during and after the lunch break. About you Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role. Ability to work flexibly within a team and motivate students. Good interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
