This role is a subject matter expert on JCDecaux Digital Advertising products and hardware. Ensuring all new and replacement hardware is configured, commissioned and in complete working order before going onto the live Digital estate. Creating solutions for repairing hardware without manufacturer warranty and prolonging the life of the Digital asset. Working Pattern - Monday - Friday 6am - 3pm Location - West London - Field based (Travel Allowance) What you'll be doing Commissioning of Hardware • Commissioning new digital advertising assets ensuring they’re fit for installation and minimise on-site commissioning • Owner of the Digital Hardware commissioning process and ensuring continuous improvement • Assisting the Project team and contractors with on-site installations • Commissioning and preparing new components for reactive fault resolution • Ensure when on site or in the warehouse company uniform and correct PPE is worn when necessary. Repair of faulty/damaged hardware • Repairing damaged components returned by field operatives which are no longer within warranty • Advise senior management of tooling required to repair faulty/damaged hardware • Create solutions to repair faulty/damaged hardware • Provide senior management with feedback on how to improve future product reliability and prolonging the life of the asset • Testing component returned from the field or from RMA Digital Products • Assist with the creation of early life reports on new digital products to prove feedback to Corp and the UK Business on the initial thoughts and issues with the product. • Create bespoke documentation on the Digital product to assist field operatives with on-site activities • Ensure all product are recorded on Digi Life • Keeping abreast of new Corp digital products and product updates • Review product retrofit releases from Corp • Keep updated with industry developments ensuring that JCDecaux remains at the forefront of Digital Out Of Home (DOOH). • Assist with and carry out training plans for Digital Field Technicians • Assist with creation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and documentation • Providing the Digital Senior management with constructive feedback on the Digital Product and areas of improvement Problem resolution • Troubleshoot escalated hardware issues from Digital Technicians in the field. • Assist with the maintenance of the known issues list A little bit about you Capabilities • A high standard of personal presentation, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, (both written and oral). • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to break down problems into components and make systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information. • Basic electrical understanding/competency. • Computer literate, ability to use laptop, computers, Smartphones and other mobile devices • An understanding of communications networks (WAN, LAN, cellular and ADSL Routers) • Conversant with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word) • Ability to work well and enjoy working in the constantly changing and challenging operations arena. • Adaptable, committed and reliable. • Able to undertake reasonable lifting duties. • Prepared to work in all weather conditions. • An aptitude for mechanical & technical tasks is essential • A positive "can do" enthusiastic attitude towards addressing technical challenges. • self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team • Comfortable with working at height within safety guidelines. Experience and Qualifications • Experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electromechanical systems and equipment. • Proven ability to work under pressure while prioritising and meeting strict deadlines • Ability to communicate and interact confidently (written and oral) with clients and senior management • Highly organised with a proactive approach to working and solutions focused • “Team-Player” attitude – supporting colleagues, sharing information and best practices • A flexible approach as the role involves some travel as well as working unsociable hours • Both literate and numerate to complete necessary reports. • IPAF & PASMA trained and experience with MEWPs (Desirable but not essential) • Experience with supporting digital screens and IT systems (desirable but not essential) • Clean full driver's license. • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent • Network Rail Training required (training provided) A little bit more about us We believe in building a diverse and inclusive culture and positive employee experience.
