Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Occupational Health Advisor to join our professional multi-disciplinary team at NHS Scotland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health, including experience leading projects and managing teams.
Responsibilities
* Plan, implement and deliver core Occupational Health Services and programmes to healthcare workers.
* Lead on aspects of service development and provision; act as a role model to ensure that clinical care is of the highest quality and standardised in accordance with national guidance, policy and service frameworks.
* Work with key partners within the board, including medical, nursing, Health and Safety and other specialist groups.
* Undertake multi-disciplinary partnership working to improve service delivery.
* Travel throughout the area of service delivery as required.
* Contribute to learning and development activities, including the potential to be a Practice Teacher for Occupational Health Nurse Students (prepared to undertake recognised training in management and leadership).
* Maintain customer-focused OH services and proficiency with OH database systems.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Proven experience working within an occupational health setting.
* Demonstrated leadership in project delivery and team management.
* Evidence of a post-registration qualification in Occupational Health.
* Qualified in Occupational Health Nursing.
* Willingness to undertake management and leadership training and to act as a Practice Teacher for Occupational Health Nurse Students.
* Proven track record of delivering customer-focused OH services; NHS service delivery experience is preferred.
* Proficient in the use of OH database systems.
* Ability and willingness to travel across the service area.
* Must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or eligible to obtain it.
Location and working arrangements
Based at NHS Forth Valley, Larbert, with flexible working arrangements to support operational needs and personal goals.
