We're seeking a motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Wirral, working closely with pupils to help them engage, progress, and succeed.
What you'll be doing:
Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum
Providing one-to-one and small group support, particularly for students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs
Applying psychological principles to help pupils manage behaviour, build confidence, and develop positive learning strategies
Supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or EAL needs
Encouraging motivation, resilience, and positive relationships within the classroom
What we're looking for:
A Psychology graduate (or related degree) keen to gain experience in education
Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm during term time
An interest in child development, mental health, or educational psychology
Confidence working with pupils aged 11-16 across a range of abilities
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people
