Overview
Join to apply for the 2026 Graduate Programme - Environmental Services role at WSP.
We are looking for Graduates for our Environmental Services teams, who have a flexible approach and an appetite to learn in a leading Engineering and Professional Advisory services consultancy. We want you to enjoy working in a collaborative environment where you can apply your skills to a diverse range of clients and projects.
What you will do
Working as a Graduate in our Environmental Services teams will mean working on innovative projects, exploring and learning about the requirements for the services we provide, which could include Nature Advisory (including Marine & Aquatics), Air Quality, Acoustics or Landscape Architecture. You will work on projects across a broad range of clients, sectors and scales.
Air Quality – You will gain technical skills in monitoring key pollutants and in assessing and managing their effects on human health and sensitive ecosystems. Activities include dispersion modelling, design of ambient air quality monitoring plans, data collation and analysis, and preparing reports. You may gain experience with tools such as ADMS and ADMS-Roads, and will have opportunities to engage with Local Authorities and bid submissions.
Landscape Architecture – You will support client projects alongside senior staff, contributing to landscape design and assessment across sectors, and developing skills in sustainable design, reporting, graphics, and scientific thinking. Day-to-day activities include providing landscape consultancy input, LVIA/TVIA reports, design development, and use of software such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
Projects span UK assignments and environments, including active travel plans, renewable energy projects, and town centre public realm schemes.
Graduate Development Programme and progression
Our two-year Graduate Development programme supports personal and professional development through a blended learning experience, core business and professional skills training, mentoring for professional registration, and on-the-job experience. You will be supported to pursue chartered status with professional bodies.
