My client is a well known, Surrey-based events caterer known for delivering exceptional food and seamless guest experiences across London, Surrey and Sussex. From high-end corporate functions to beautiful weddings and private celebrations, they pride themselves on creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail in running seamless events.
As there calendar continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Events Operations Manager to join our dynamic team ideally from an events catering background.
The Role
As Events Operations Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of our events. You’ll oversee operational planning, staffing, logistics, and on-the-day execution, ensuring each event runs smoothly and reflects our high standards.
* Lead the operational planning and delivery of events of varying scale, including corporate functions, weddings, and private celebrations.
* Manage event logistics: equipment, transport, supplier coordination, staffing and venue liaison.
* Oversee event staffing, including briefing, scheduling, training and on-site leadership.
* Work closely with the sales and kitchen teams to ensure accurate event briefs.
* Maintain high health & safety, food hygiene, and compliance standards.
* Monitor event budgets, stock control and cost efficiencies.
* Build strong relationships with venues, clients and suppliers across London, Surrey & Sussex.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, guest experience, and operational performance.
About You
* Proven experience in event operations within catering, hospitality or events.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams.
* A problem-solver who thrives under pressure and can adapt quickly.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* A hands-on approach and willingness to be present on event days, including evenings/weekends when required.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the region.
