Business Development Manager - Foodservice
Location: South West, England, United Kingdom
Salary: £35-£40k basic + bonus (OTE £45k); company car, laptop, mobile and benefits
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established family-run food manufacturer that produces its own brand of cooking sauces, dressings and dips. The company sells to restaurants, pubs, nursing homes, hotels, fast food chains and various foodservice distributors and wholesalers. The business has seen significant growth and is expanding the team to win more Foodservice business in the Southern region.
The Role
The job function focuses on both new business and account management. You will:
* Manage a portfolio of existing accounts and grow spend with these customers.
* Prospect with dormant accounts and win new customers.
* Develop new business within dormant accounts and break into new customers in the South of England.
* Engage with a diverse client base including pubs, schools, restaurants, fast food chains, hotels and catering businesses.
This role combines account management with proactive new business development within the Foodservice Manufacturer sector and offers an opportunity to establish a strong reputation in a growing organisation.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven track record in sales within the Foodservice sector.
* Experience in working for a Foodservice Manufacturer is advantageous.
* Consideration given to candidates from related backgrounds selling into Foodservice end users (e.g., Foodservice wholesale).
* Strong new business acumen, relationship-building skills and a structured approach to field sales.
