ITS Property Maintenance are working with a specialist M&E contractor delivering renewable heating and air-source heat pump installations across domestic and light-commercial properties.
With growing demand for low-carbon heating solutions from local authorities, housing associations, and private clients, the business is expanding its team of skilled engineers to support new and ongoing installation programmes.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to carry out installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air-source heat pump systems across occupied and void properties.
Working with systems from Midea, Grant UK, and Alpha Innovation, you will ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with industry and MCS standards.
Key Responsibilities

Install, connect, and commission air-to-water and air-to-air heat pump systems
*
Carry out site surveys and assist with heat-loss calculations and system design
*
Fit and connect pipework, electrical feeds, and control systems
*
Conduct commissioning checks, pressure tests, and refrigerant leak tests
*
Service, fault-find, and maintain existing ASHP systems
*
Complete all compliance documentation, MCS reports, and commissioning sheets
*
Work safely to F-Gas, building, and electrical regulations
*
Provide professional tenant / client communication throughout installations
Required Skills & Experience
*
Time-served Plumbing & Heating Engineer or HVAC Technician
*
Demonstrable ASHP installation experience (air-to-water preferred)
*
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating or equivalent trade qualification
*
F-Gas Category 1 qualification (advantageous)
*
18th Edition or Part P (beneficial)
*
Full UK Driving Licence
*
Competent in fault-finding, diagnostics, and commissioning
*
Experience with manufacturers such as Midea, Grant, Alpha, Mitsubishi, or Daikin preferred

Ideal Candidate
This role would suit a qualified Plumbing & Heating Engineer or Renewables Installer with solid experience in air-source systems, looking for secure, well-paid ongoing work.
Engineers with previous experience in domestic retrofit, social housing, or PPM environments will be well suited.
