Overview

Chelsea Technologies, a global leader in environmental and maritime technology, is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Commercial Sales professional to lead and manage our commercial sales, marketing, and reseller networks. Youll play a central role in shaping our commercial strategy and expanding our presence in the commercial maritime and marine science sectors, building strong customer relationships, driving growth, and positioning Chelsea at the forefront of the industry. Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Commercial Maritime & Marine Science sectors.
* Lead and manage internal sales, marketing, and global reseller networks.
* Build and maintain high-value customer relationships across technical and procurement stakeholders.
* Own the end-to-end sales process: lead generation, qualification, quoting, negotiation, contract finalisation.
* Work with marketing to create impactful campaigns, case studies, and multi-channel content.
* Develop and submit bids and proposals that are competitive, commercially viable, and aligned with customer needs.
* Conduct stakeholder mapping and engagement strategies to influence decision-makers.
* Analyse industry and competitor trends to inform strategy and opportunity targeting.
* Ensure compliance with commercial contract terms and internal risk management processes.
* Report regularly on sales pipeline, activities, and performance using CRM and weekly updates.


Required Qualifications

* A BSc (or equivalent) in Business Management or a related discipline (minimum 2:2).
* Demonstrated experience in the commercial maritime, shipping, or marine science/technology sectors.


Essential Skills

* Proven ability to generate and convert commercial sales leads.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, CRM tools, and contract negotiation.
* Track record of managing sales pipelines and international reseller networks.
* Strong communication, presentation, and proposal writing skills.
* Experience working across cross-functional teams and multiple projects.


Desirable Attributes

* Deep knowledge of the maritime water monitoring market and customer base.
* Experience with bid capture and proposal delivery in related sectors.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to work across multiple opportunities.
* Confident communicator who inspires internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

* Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.
