About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Temporary Accommodation Service. The Housing Solutions & Support service are experiencing unprecedented demand around the use of temporary accommodation. There are currently over 5600 households in temporary accommodation.
Duties And Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake visits to empty properties undertaking inspections, arranging lock changes and raising orders for furnishings amongst other duties.
You will want the best for our citizens, be IT literate, whilst demonstrating resilience and the ability to work in a highly pressurised area of the business. You will be able to make sound decisions under pressure.
This role requires working as a team as well as being organised, ensuring that systems are updated asap and work is moved on to resolution each day in a timely manner.
You will be contacting customers to ensure they have moved out of temporary accommodation, going and collecting keys and updating systems.
The role requires you to carry out visits daily therefore a full driving licence is required and access to a vehicle. Car Allowance will be paid at the appropriate rate.
Full training and shadowing mentoring and coaching will be provided.
The role is working hybrid out and about and will require you to work from a BCC office location each week. This role will include lone working.
The role is KPI, and performance driven to ensure void properties are moved on daily.
You will need to cover for emergencies and cover sickness and Annual leave as and when required. You will also be able required to work city wide and provide wrap around support.
We are looking for people who have a can-do attitude and are flexible, adaptable and work well under pressure.
Essential For This Role
Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation and HHSRS requirements is essential for this role.
