We are seeking a highly motivated Speech, Language and Communication Needs Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive primary school in Chelmsford, Essex. This role is available to start as soon as possible.
Note: Parking available for staff.

Requirements
* Experience and knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
* Bachelor's degree in speech and language pathology, communication disorders, or a related field.
* Experience working with children with speech, language and communication difficulties (previous experience in an educational setting is highly desirable).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Be aware of and knowledgeable about different additional needs such as ASC, ADHD, MLD and SEMH.
Responsibilities
* Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
* Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis to help overcome barriers to learning.
* Assisting the speech and language therapist in implementing individualised therapy plans.
* Conducting one-on-one or small group sessions with students to practice speech and language skills.
* Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting therapy techniques accordingly.
* Collaborating with teachers and parents to develop strategies for incorporating speech and language goals into the classroom and home environments.
* Supporting students during classroom activities, ensuring their participation and comprehension.
