Role Overview
We’re looking for a high-performing Sponsorship Sales Manager to join our Events Sales team at TM Forum on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will be responsible for selling sponsorship and exhibition packages to both existing TM Forum member organizations and new prospects. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, driving new business, and contributing to the continued success of our global events portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a well-established role with the chance to make a real impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities
* Sell sponsorship and exhibition packages across TM Forum’s global events.
* Build strong relationships with existing member accounts and support their ongoing success.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including outreach to non-member vendors.
* Conduct market and industry research to align sales strategy with client needs and trends.
* Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets and contribute to wider team objectives.
* Collaborate closely with marketing, content, and operations teams to deliver strong value propositions.
* Represent TM Forum at events (virtual and in-person) as needed.
* Manage client accounts onsite and lead rebooking efforts.
* Understand and communicate how TM Forum’s event products align with industry priorities and client goals.
* Tailor presentations and proposals to reflect client needs and strategic opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
* 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in event sponsorship sales.
* Proven success in both account management and new business generation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong negotiation, pitching, and closing skills.
* Target-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
* Familiarity with Salesforce and CLM systems is an advantage.
* A passion for delivering excellent client service.
* Telecoms or tech industry knowledge is a plus but not essential.
