Overview
Howdens Joinery is looking for an Administrator to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As an Administrator, you'll be providing crucial administrative support and coordinating projects for our Operations Team. You’ll play an essential role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and your contributions will help us maintain a high standard of performance and efficiency.
What You’ll Be Doing
* KPI Management: Collecting and analysing data to create meaningful reports that support decision-making.
* Administrative Duties: Overseeing internal/external correspondence and mail distribution.
* Employee Incentives & Payroll: Managing site depot incentive activities, processing purchase requisitions, and coordinating payments with Accounts Payable.
* Visitor & Event Management: Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring fire and safety procedures are adhered to, and supporting company events and promotions.
* Administrative Support: Note-taking at meetings, supporting site management and HR teams, and assisting with any other administrative tasks as needed.
What We Need to Qualify
* Experience in administration, ideally within a manufacturing environment
* Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
* Strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
* A continuous improvement mindset to constantly look for ways to drive efficiencies and improve processes
