Loughborough University MATLAB Student Ambassador
MathWorks has a hybrid work model that enables staff members to split their time between office and home, providing the advantage of in‑person collaboration with colleagues and flexible at‑home work opportunities. The MATLAB Student Ambassador position requires a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week and is a paid internship.
Responsibilities
* Host fun events on campus to demonstrate MATLAB and Simulink, using provided resources such as software demos and hardware tools.
* Use classroom, social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, blogging), and other communication channels to spread awareness of MathWorks products and student resources.
* Engage with prominent student organizations related to Engineering, Math, Science and Finance, and promote MathWorks presence at university career fairs, information sessions and other recruiting events.
* Plan and organize events that showcase the state‑of‑the‑art capabilities of MATLAB and Simulink.
Minimum Qualifications
* Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s level degree.
Additional Qualifications
* Proficiency in MATLAB; familiarity with Simulink is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for social media.
* Undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing with at least 2 semesters remaining in the degree program (preferably in Engineering).
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
* Legal authorization to work in the UK.
