Job Title: Technical Account Manager
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships within the industrial automation sector. This is a commercially focused role suited to someone who understands technical project environments and has a track record of building and expanding client accounts.
This role involves operating from our office in Widnes, where the successful candidate will manage ongoing customer relationships, support the quoting process alongside technical teams, and identify opportunities for growth — including high-value projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Managing and developing long-term relationships with existing clients
* Supporting the commercial side of technical project delivery
* Collaborating with technical managers on proposals, quotations, and client presentations
* Identifying and nurturing new business opportunities within established accounts
* Tracking and following up on leads, tenders, and CRM activity
* Working with marketing and operations to support targeted campaigns and growth strategies
* Representing the business in client meetings, both on-site and remotely
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role within automation, control systems, or industrial engineering
* Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in account growth
* Comfortable managing high-value projects and navigating complex sales cycles
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
* Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes
