Location: Office-based role with fieldwork as needed, within an hour of North Devon. Possible locations include Exeter, Barnstaple, Tiverton, Bude, Okehampton, Minehead.
Job Description: Reporting directly to the Group CEO, you will manage an expanding business, contributing to growth and change initiatives. You will oversee UK operations with support from senior managers and a team of around 40 staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the UK team to meet revenue targets.
* Maintain customer engagement and sales cycle involvement.
* Set sales objectives and motivate the sales team.
* Oversee leadership, coaching, and performance management for a business valued at approximately GBP 10-12 million.
* Manage a team of 3 senior reports and about 35 staff, providing mentoring and support.
* Report regularly on sales performance to the European CEO and organization.
* Conduct market analysis to identify competition and revenue opportunities.
Person Specification:
* Strong strategic and business insight with the ability to translate vision into strategy.
* Proven success in sales and people leadership roles, with operational experience preferred.
* Industry experience in pumps, filtration, metering, water, wastewater, or related fields.
* Experience with distribution models or partners is a plus.
* Charismatic with a commanding presence to drive sales strategy.
* Managed sales budgets of GBP 10-15 million.
* Experience in both commercial and residential sales is advantageous.
* Effective people management skills to bring stability and implement change.
* Networking ability, empathy, and emotional intelligence for client management and deal closing.
