About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker (SSW), you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality support to vulnerable children and their families. You will be responsible for managing complex cases, providing expert advice, and contributing to long-term planning for children's care and permanency. Working within our dedicated team, you will have the chance to develop your skills further and progress your career in a highly regarded Local Authority.
Candidate Responsibilities and Requirements
* Manage a diverse caseload involving court proceedings and permanency planning
* Deliver high standards of social work practice in line with statutory requirements and Birmingham Children’s Trust policies
* Lead on case planning, assessment, and review processes
* Collaborate effectively with partner agencies and external professionals
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
* Bring at least 2 years of post-qualification social work experience
* Passion for court work and children’s permanency
* Excellent communication and teamworking skills
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
