Purpose of the Role

The Quality Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across the organisation. They will ensure compliance with awarding body, regulatory, and funding requirements, while contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance systems within Further Education (FE).

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Compliance

* Support the implementation and monitoring of internal quality assurance processes across all FE programmes.
* Ensure compliance with awarding organisation, Ofqual, Ofsted, and ESFA requirements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality processes, audits, and learner outcomes.
* Assist with preparation for external quality assurance visits, inspections, and audits.
* Line Manage the associate markers and IV pool.
* Lead monthly standardisation meetings for the delivery & marking teams.

Monitoring & Reporting

* Support the collation and analysis of learner achievement data, progression, and retention rates.
* Produce reports and summaries for senior leaders on quality performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
* Monitor action plans following audits, inspections, and internal reviews.

Continuous Improvement

* Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and quality frameworks.
* Share best practice with staff to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Support staff in meeting quality requirements, including training and coaching where required.

Learner-Centred Focus

* Ensure learners' voices are heard through feedback processes, surveys, and focus groups.
* Monitor and review learner feedback, ensuring actions are taken to address issues raised.
* Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within all aspects of quality assurance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

* Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:

* Knowledge of Ofqual, ESFA, Ofsted: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

* Quality assurance quals (e.g., TAQA, IQA, A1, V1). (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Bedford MK44 3RZ
