Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor for a long term project near Reading. \n\nYou will expected to oversee the install, test and commissioning of galvanised ladder racks, tray, trunking and conduit for LV Mains, submains and 9491b cabling for the electrical distribution, earthing, lighting (including lighting control and small power installation).\n\nThe project is expected to run for a minimum of 18 months and will commence in August 2025. This is a highly regulated commercial sector where assurance, programme, ITP’s & standards are key to the success of the project and satisfaction of the end client.\n\nThis role will be split with 50% of the time on-site supervision of staff and other 50% of the time will be spent attending meetings, client and contractor liaison, scheduling, bugeting, planning etc.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nSupervising a team of engineers ensuring excellent service delivery\nAssisting the Management team with maintaining effective control of budgets.\nBuild strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver services professionally, on time and within budget.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant audits, including quality assurance, health & safety, environmental, and financial standards.\nProvide accurate reporting and submit regular updates to relevant parties.\nAct as the first point of contact for other contractors and sub-contractors, ensuring the quick and effective resolution of issues.\nProvide ongoing guidance and mentorship to engineersThe successful candidate will have:\n\nStrong technical knowledge of electrical Installation, ideally in the rail industry.\nPrevious Supervisor experience.\nCapability to assist with management with budgets and resource planning.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems commonly used in engineering environments.Qualifications & Experience:\n\nElectrical Qualification\nSSSTS\nECS/CSCS\nIPAF\nPASMA\nHands-on experience in a fast-paced environment\nPrevious experience in a supervisory or team leadership role, ideally within the rail industry
