Job summary
The advertised role is for an Underwriter in the Infrastructure & Construction Team (I&C). I&C is within the Large Corporates & International Directorate and is responsible for the delivery of UKEF's medium/long-term business products for projects in the infrastructure and construction sectors.
Job description
The main responsibilities of this post include:
* Support on all stages of the transaction lifecycle, from enquiry to loan effectiveness. This would include, but is not limited to:
* responding to enquiries and reviewing applications for potentially accessing UKEF support;
* supporting on the various due diligence streams of work, including circulating necessary materials with the relevant teams in order for them to undertake their due diligence;
* assisting on drafting documents, such as credit and underwriting papers;
* reviewing loan documentation and other agreements.
* Engage with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, including other teams and/or divisions in UKEF, banks, UK and overseas companies, overseas governments, other UK Government Departments, and so on.
* Attend meetings and other Department-related activities.
* Manage internal systems and databases for organising and storing transaction relevant documentation.
* Be able to explain clearly/ present on UKEF's range of financial products and processes.

Qualifications

Selection process details
This vacancy is using Success Profiles, and will assess your Behaviours, Ability, Experience and Technical skills.
We are assessing candidates using Success Profiles (see Appendix 1) and across the whole process we will assess your Experience, Ability, Technical and Behaviours as highlighted below.
