What you will do
* Undertake viability assessments and comprehensive Form C assessments of connected persons carers in line with fostering regulations and national minimum standards
* Provide supervision, support, and conduct annual reviews for approved connected persons foster carers
* Prepare high-quality reports for the fostering panel and attend panel meetings as required, showcasing your expertise and dedication
* Collaborate closely with children’s social workers, legal services, and partner agencies to support care planning and permanence arrangements, ensuring the best outcomes for children
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree in Social Work (BA/MA or equivalent) to ensure you're well-prepared for this specialist role
* Registered with Social Work England, demonstrating your commitment and compliance with professional standards
Registration & Compliance
* Up-to-date SWE registration is essential to ensure compliance with sector standards
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning Regulations, and Fostering Services Regulations 2011, helping you navigate this complex landscape
* Understanding of safeguarding frameworks and statutory guidance is crucial in protecting and promoting the welfare of children
