We have students from all over the world, primarily from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, Argentina, and Cyprus.
Students typically stay for two weeks and participate in a mixed programme of lessons, activities, and excursions led by Activity Leaders. Our mission at Target English International is to provide a comfortable and caring environment in the UK to improve students' English communication skills and develop skills for a global society.
We aim for our students to leave the course with a better understanding of UK culture and inspiration to become lifelong learners of English.
Overview of role: Job Title: Director of Studies
Line Manager: Centre Manager/Academic Manager
Pay rate: Competitive, dependent on contract type + full-board accommodation and holiday pay
Dates: June to August
Hours: As required (typically 48 hours per week)
You should be a competent teacher with significant experience in EFL and summer school industries. You will have overall responsibility for the successful implementation and administration of the academic programme, including managing the academic staff and their performance.
In addition to optimizing the students’ academic experience, you will ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. Management, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Managers are required to attend a 2-day induction weekend at the University of Hull before the contract begins. Returning staff receive a £10/week increment (up to 3 years).
