Due to continued growth, our Walsall-based client is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, playing a key role in new product introduction, production improvement, and technical compliance. As an Electrical Engineer, you will need to have/be:
Proven experience in electrical, electronic engineering, ideally within a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and ability to deliver projects from concept through to customer acceptance.
Solid grasp of design standards and safety legislation including UL508a, LVD, EMC, and EN60204.
Proficiency in a variety of CAD design packages.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a creative, "out-of-the-box" approach to engineering challenges.
Ability to translate customer requirements into clear, production-ready engineering data.
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO Quality Systems, and internal compliance processes.
Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple project variables and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident working both independently and collaboratively.
A proactive, driven, and supportive attitude-comfortable mentoring junior team members and contributing to continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Minimum: HNC or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 5 years' post-qualification experience.
Desirable: Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP).
Role of Electrical Engineer:
Support and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to achieve on-time, cost-effective product launches.
Provide accurate technical data to support quotations, manufacturing, and customer documentation.
Produce and maintain First Article / ISIR documentation to ensure customer approval and product validation.
Actively participate in project planning, monitoring, and reporting cycles.
Deliver innovative engineering solutions that improve performance, quality, and cost efficiency.
Maintain effective cross-functional collaboration with design, production, and quality teams.
Support the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and standards.
Occasionally work extended or unsociable hours as required to meet project deadlines.Benefits of working as an Electrical Engineer:
