Your Role
This role will involve chairside dental nursing along with the chance to explore treatment coordinator opportunities like managing specialist treatment plans. You will be responsible for providing chair side support in all day-to-day activities within the practice and surgeries. You will play an important role in a ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care while complying with all clinical and health & safety guidance.
In addition to Dental Nursing responsibilities, this role will cover an element of Reception support.
Other duties include –
1. Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
2. Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
3. Monitoring our internal referral system to ensure that any patient referrals are followed up within an appropriate timescale
4. Ensuring the surgery is set up appropriately for each stage in the patient treatment plan to maximise the efficiency of the session
5. Anticipating the requirements of the clinician and patient in advance of their session and ensure necessary lab work and equipment is in place
6. Monitoring surgery stocks to ensure that appropriate stock levels are maintained
7. Undertaking reception duties when required including answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
About You
8. GDC registration is essential
9. Experience working in Private / NHS practices is preferred
10. Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
11. The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
12. Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
