Job Title: Physical Health Nurse
Location: North London
Rate: Negotiable
Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dietician to work closely with a private mental health hospital in North London. This full-time locum position, with proposed working hours of 0900 til 1700 Monday to Friday. This role will be an ongoing booking from April.
To be eligible, you must have experience within the specific role. Must be able to reliably commute to and work from the above location.
About the hospital:
* Specialist inpatient mental health service
* Multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists
* Provides care for individuals with complex and enduring mental health conditions
* Person-centred treatment model with recovery-focused care pathways
Responsibilities
* Physical health assessments on admission
* Ongoing monitoring of physical health conditions
* Care planning and clinical reviews
* Supporting management of long-term conditions such as diabetes, COPD and hypertension
* Infection prevention and control leadership
* Supporting and advising nursing teams on physical health screening and observations
* Maintaining clear clinical records and contributing to MDT discussions
* Phlebotomy and medication management within scope of practice
What the service is looking for
* Current NMC registration
* Strong background in physical health assessment
* Experience within hospital, complex care or inpatient settings
* Someone confident supporting teams and promoting best practice
