About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Thameside, a category B Prison located in Thamesmead, South East London. In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.
Hours
Monday - Friday: 07:30 - 18:30
Saturday - Sunday: 08:30 - 18:00
Note: You will be expected to work unsociable hours, including some weekends, evenings and night shifts where applicable.
Salary
This position is full‑time and offers an annual salary up to £45,331 per annum, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
* Assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high‑quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into account the need to maintain a high level of security.
* Hold direct patient contact as part of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service’s needs.

Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment is desirable but not essential
