Description
Our client, a global investment management firm is seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to primarily cover the global Oil & Gas sector.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
* Conduct detailed bottom-up equity analysis of specific companies in the Oil & Gas sector
* Build and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendations
* Generate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfolios
* Present compelling and well-articulated investment ideas to express convictions in research conclusions
* Keep research up to date for companies already in the portfolios
* Regularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetings
Candidate Requirements
* Relevant equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-side
* Relevant work experience and knowledge of the oil & gas sector
* CFA Charterholder or working towards qualification
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Willingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment process
* Good team player who is able to work within a collaborative, results orientated working environment
* Self-awareness and the humility to admit and learn from mistakes
