Sliding Head Setter – CNC Machinist A leading machining business is seeking an experienced Sliding Head Setter to join their dynamic and progressive team based in Hitchin. The ideal candidate will have: * Proven experience in setting and operating CNC sliding head machines (Fanuc control preferred) * The ability to read and write CNC programs * A commitment to high-quality standards and precision work * Strong attention to detail and a drive to improve production processes * Excellent measuring skills and a good understanding of engineering drawings * An enthusiastic, proactive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment Role Overview: You will be responsible for setting up CNC sliding head machines for production runs, making in-process adjustments, and ensuring quality control of all produced components. This role requires close collaboration with support and quality control teams to maintain production efficiency and standards.
