A primary school in Upton is looking to recruit SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across a range of year groups.

The Role
1. Supporting pupils with SEND across the school
2. Working 1:1 and with small groups
3. Assisting with learning, behaviour and emotional support
4. Supporting a range of age groups from EYFS through to KS2
5. Working closely with teaching staff and SEN teams

Job Specification
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.
We specialise in recruiting Teaching Assistants (TA) who are qualified in the following;
15. NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
16. NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
17. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
18. CACHE Level 3 in Childcare & Education
19. BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).
We’ll also consider experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who have previously held a job in a primary school or assisted a pupil in the role in a secondary school but do not hold any of the above qualifications.

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
29. Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
30. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
31. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
32. Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
33. Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
