Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Design Architect to join our dynamic development team. Proficiency in Revit and BSR applications is preferred. This role offers the chance to lead the design and coordination of medium and large-scale projects in collaboration with procurement, commercial, and site teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in refining design concepts, overseeing technical design, and supporting the growth of the architectural team. Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive design packages in collaboration with the Prime Phenix team, consultants, and subcontractors.
● Direct the architectural team in the creation of innovative and technically accurate designs, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
● Mentor and support junior architects and architectural assistants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
● Conduct feasibility studies and test planning to inform early-stage project development.
● Establish, refine, and implement architectural systems, workflows, and best practices to optimize project delivery.
● Ensure that architectural designs align with Prime Phenix's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
● Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams to align design specifications with project budgets and cost controls.
● Participate in client presentations and stakeholder meetings, conveying design concepts and addressing feedback effectively.
● Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of design and construction documentation.
● Stay up to date with industry trends, innovative materials, and advanced construction techniques to continuously enhance the architectural practice.
Requirements:
● A minimum of 5 years of experience at RIBA stages 4-6, with a strong focus on concrete-framed residential buildings (London experience preferred).
● Exceptional technical expertise and a deep understanding of architectural processes.
● Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D design software, with advanced proficiency in Revit as a mandatory requirement.
● Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
● Experience with BSR submissions (preferred).
