Lead Software Developer – Dynamics 365 and Power Platform

We are working with a leading wealth management organisation who are investing heavily in their Microsoft estate and are looking for a Lead Software Developer to take ownership of their Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environment.
This is not a low code Power Apps role. They are looking for someone who genuinely understands engineering within the Microsoft stack and enjoys writing proper code.
The environment is mature with infrastructure already in place, so this is about shaping long term technical direction and driving complex transformation rather than firefighting legacy.
The Role
You will lead a small squad of developers, taking ownership of delivery standards, mentoring and career development while remaining hands on.
Approximately 75 percent of your focus will sit across Power Platform and Dataverse, with strong C# capability expected for custom plugins, integrations and deeper server side development.
You will:
• Lead and mentor a team of 2 to 3 developers
• Contribute to key architecture and design decisions
• Deliver scalable solutions across Dynamics 365 CE
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business
• Help shape governance and best practice within a regulated environment
What They Are Looking For
• Strong experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
• Solid C# engineering background
• Experience building custom plugins and integrations
• Dataverse schema and security expertise
• Experience working in enterprise environments
• Confidence engaging with technical and non technical stakeholders
This role would suit a strong senior engineer stepping into broader ownership, or an existing Lead who enjoys being hands on while shaping direction.
You will have genuine influence over the platform and a long term seat at the table when it comes to technology decisions.
