Senior Software Engineer – Greater Manchester / Hybrid
Due to continued growth, my client is looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to their development team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding business where engineers play a key role in shaping the architecture, design, and delivery of modern cloud-based software products.
The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable software for a cloud-based SaaS platform. You will take ownership across the development lifecycle, contributing to technical design, development, and delivery.
You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders within an agile, cross-functional team, helping to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop microservices supporting a SaaS platform
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
* Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
* Work with SQL and NoSQL data stores
* Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile delivery
* Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to best practices
* Support the improvement of engineering standards and processes
* Work with CI/CD pipelines to support reliable deployments
* Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable and reliable systems
Skills & Experience
* 5+ years’ experience in software development
* Strong experience with C# / .NET
* Frontend experience with Vue.js / React.js
* Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including services such as:
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
* Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
* Experience working within Agile development teams
