Employer Engagement Officer to commence ASAP. Job Purpose: Engage with employers to support progression for learners. The Employer Engagement Officer is a key member of the team, supporting our learners in accessing a variety of employment opportunities. The post holder will be responsible for identifying employers offering work placements and employment opportunities that match the skills, experience, and aspirations of learners, while also coordinating work placement opportunities for them. The Employer Engagement Officer will ensure that they continually identify and build relationships with employers. The role will also involve offering advice and guidance on employment pathways, career development, and career and job fair-type events. Aim2Learn are a national provider of training to unemployed learners. The successful candidate will undertake the following primary Duties and Responsibilities: Develop an employer engagement plan in line with agreed performance measures. The plan will include a rationale for employer targets along with short- and long-term goals, which will include: Building strong employer relationships Securing interviews and employment for learners Setting up employer interviews and securing work placements Supporting the transition, where appropriate, from further education or work placement into employment Effectively seek out employers who are willing to provide employment opportunities and or work experience placements, which match the learners’ skills, experience and aspirations. Develop professional, long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with employers. Establish, develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of local labour markets and issues affecting recruitment to share with others within the team. Confidently and professionally promote Aim2Learn Pre-Employment Services by representing the organisation at appropriate events and presenting aims and objectives to potential employers, which in turn would increase the awareness of Aim2Learn services. The ideal candidate should possess the following Skills, Experience and Qualities: Experience engaging with both learners and employers Work well under pressure in a challenging environment Not shy to pick up the phone with both businesses and learners Good ICT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages, including Excel. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent. Problem solver with a “can-do” attitude Enthusiasm in the workplace Construction/telecoms sector experience In return.
