We are looking for Pharmacy Dispensers with availability to work the hours shown. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide three weeks notice of shifts. We support flexible working where possible and welcome applications if your availability is close to but not exactly the advertised times.
Pay and Hours
Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £12.87 per hour; this increases to £14.08 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you would prefer to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), opportunities are available and we would still love to hear from you.
Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the operation of one of our new modern Pharmacies.
* Applying technical skills and a strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for customers.
* Dispensing prescription medicines with attention to detail and accuracy.
* Talking to customers in a confident, friendly and professional manner and providing excellent service.
* Offering information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understanding customers’ needs and advising on products that are right for them.
* Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
* Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and handling clinical and regulatory queries from Healthcare practitioners.
* Responding to customer queries related to prescription medicines and informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
* Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed and that dispensary and consulting rooms are clean and tidy.
* Ensuring all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
* Carrying out promotional activities and company initiatives within the team.
* Carrying out procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure we trade safely and legally.
* Completing corporate and departmental training and keeping up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
You will need:
* Qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field.
