The Revenue Management team owns the consumer pricing agenda globally at JET, ensuring development of business-critical capabilities and product features, and ultimately delivering on revenue targets. Pricing is a core part of the consumer value proposition and is a key lever in driving more orders to our business. We design prices to align both customers and partners interests while maximising on the value created by our marketplace.
Reporting to the Global Director of Revenue Management, the successful candidate will have strong experience and expertise in how to implement best in data modelling and deliver high quality data pricing infrastructure to support the Central Pricing function (Revenue Management team). As Lead Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a variety of teams within the business, including data engineering, data science, product and tech, marketing and local BI teams.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
* Implement data structures using best practices in data modelling, ETL processes, SQL and Google BigQuery. This role will require a strong understanding of our data infrastructure, business needs, revenue management components and KPIs.
* Build and deliver high quality data sets to support pricing analysts, data scientists and business reporting needs.
* Improve existing solutions and come up with the next generation of pricing data infrastructure and architecture to improve scale, quality, timeliness and monitoring.
* Contribute to the development of analytical approaches and methodologies to solve specific business questions and deliver analytical projects end-to-end within minimal supervision.
* Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions working collaboratively with our data scientists and pricing analysts.
* Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions, including pricing analytics and experimentation.
* Become the expert and go-to person for pricing data in the Revenue Management team.

What will you bring to the table?
Here are the skills and experience we need from you:
* Bachelor or Master degree in quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering or physics).
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in writing complex, highly-optimised SQL queries across large data sets. 3+ years of experience in scripting languages like Python.
* Solid working experience in data mining, ETL, warehousing, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
* Experience with data visualisation using Tableau or similar tools, able to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
* Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modelling decisions and data engineering strategy.
* Self-driven and structured problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple concurrent projects independently, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and with a high standard of quality, working with multiple stakeholders.
