Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Finance Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the organisation by utilising various accounting software and systems.
Responsibilities
* Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate collection of fees and also payments to suppliers and vendors.
* Maintain financial records using accounting software QuickBooks and DEXT
* Perform data entry tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and record-keeping.
* Prepare financial statements and reports for management review including assisting with the annual affiliation fee review.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and effective resource allocation.
* Runs Payroll through QuickBooks
* Conduct regular audits of financial processes to identify areas for improvement.
* Provide support during financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
* Attends monthly staff meetings
Requirements
* Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the financial services sector.
* Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks and DEXT.
* Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.47-£16.35 per hour
