Part-time Study Skills Tutor (ASC)
Rate: £28 per hour plus holiday pay
Randstad Student Support is recruiting Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Workers to assist autistic students at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln.
This role is hybrid, requiring candidates to travel to the university or college for in-person sessions, as well as conduct online sessions, to accommodate student preferences.
As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker, you will provide tailored learning support and academic guidance, including developing individual learning plans to foster student independence.
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to identify and build on students' learning strengths
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Experience creating individual learning plans
* Knowledge of research methods and referencing styles
* Ability to promote independence and self-advocacy in students
* Experience managing a caseload of students
Qualifications
This specialist role requires a strong academic background and relevant autism support training. Candidates must:
* Hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree (Level 6)
* Possess a teaching qualification
* Complete extensive training in adult autism, such as:
o 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package), or
o The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education
