Assistant Team Manager - Child Protection Location: Dorchester (Dorset) Rate: £35-£45 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: Temporary | Full-Time (37 hours) Working Pattern: Hybrid About the Opportunity Connect2Socialwork are partnering with Dorset Council to recruit an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join their Permanence Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled leader passionate about improving outcomes for children in care and supporting them to achieve long-term stability. Key Responsibilities Support the Team Manager with day-to-day leadership and operational oversight Supervise and appraise social workers and family workers Provide guidance on complex casework and care planning Chair meetings and contribute to key decision-making Drive high standards of practice and support team development Work collaboratively to secure permanent, stable outcomes for children You will play a key role in supporting children from the end of care proceedings through their journey in care, working closely with fostering, health and education partners. About You Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration Minimum 3 years PQE within UK children's services Strong experience in supervision, mentoring and leadership Confident managing complex child protection and permanence cases Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Why Work with Connect2Socialwork?
