All this is wrapped up with an easy-to-view online data management analysis and reporting software.\n\nESG Lead\n\nPURPOSE OF THE JOB:\n\n * Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.\n\n * Work closely with People, HSE, Office Management, Procurement, and Leadership teams to drive meaningful progress in our People, Planet, Integrity and Communities agenda.\n\n * Chair the ESG Steering Group, ensuring that ESG principles are embedded into decision-making, operational practices, and corporate strategy.\n\n * Tracking sustainability performance, engagement of stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and investor expectations.\n\n * Ensuring timely reporting of ESG for benchmarking via Apex, Sedex and Cresent.\n\nMAIN ASSIGNMENTS:\n\nESG Strategy & Integration\n\n * Lead the company’s ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, investor expectations, and industry best practices.\n\n * Help stakeholders to develop policies and initiatives that support the company’s environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and social responsibility goals.\n\n * Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to embed ESG principles into core business functions and decision-making.\n\nESG Governance & Reporting\n\n * Chair the ESG Steering Group, working with the Leadership Sponsor to set the agenda, monitor progress, and report key developments.\n\n * Prepare monthly ESG Steering Group Updates and Quarterly ESG Leadership Updates, including key performance metrics, regulatory developments, and strategic recommendations.\n\n * Develop and maintain ESG reporting frameworks, ensuring compliance with UK regulations (e.g., TCFD, SECR, ISSB), ESG frameworks (UN SDGs, GRI, SASB), and investor expectations.\n\n * Oversee the Internal ESG SharePoint and Intranet platforms, ensuring clear and engaging communication across the organisation.\n\nStakeholder Engagement\n\n * Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to promote ESG integration and ensure alignment with investor and customer expectations.\n\n * Support ESG engagement with employees through training, awareness initiatives, and collaboration with our internal communications team.\n\nRisk & Opportunity Management\n\n * Identify ESG-related risks and opportunities, such as regulatory changes, emerging sustainability trends, and competitor initiatives.\n\n * Work with ESG Governance champion on a ESG Balanced scorecard.\n\n * Advise on strategies to mitigate ESG risks, improve sustainability performance, and enhance the company’s ESG ratings with external assessors.\n\nESG Compliance & Continuous Improvement\n\n * Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, sustainability standards, and corporate governance best practices.\n\n * Support the development of ESG-aligned policies, procedures, and certifications.\n\n * Lead programmes around energy management, carbon reduction, and decarbonisation, driving measurable progress in environmental sustainability.\n\nACCOUNTABILITIES:\n\nESG Strategy & Leadership –Implement the ESG strategy, chair the ESG Steering Group, and embed ESG into business operations.\n\nRegulatory Compliance & Reporting – Ensure adherence to UK ESG regulations (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, SECR) and deliver quarterly ESG leadership updates and annual Apex investor reports.\n\nStakeholder Engagement – Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive ESG integration and enhance reputation.\n\nSustainability & Risk Management – Identify and mitigate ESG-related risks, supporting Office Management and HSE teams on carbon reduction and energy efficiency programs.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Innovation – Monitor ESG trends and investor expectations, enhance policies, and support HSE team with ISO compliance.\n\nPERSON SPECIFICATION:\n\nEssential:\n\n * Strong understanding of environmental legislation, sustainability practices, and social impact programmes.\n\n * Experience developing ESG policies, ensuring compliance with ISO/BSI standards and regulatory frameworks.\n\n * Experience in ESG risk and opportunity identification, including climate risks, regulatory shifts, and competitor analysis.\n\n * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.\n\n * A proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.\n\n * Prior experience in ESG benchmarking and investor reporting (e.g., Apex ESG ratings, PE sustainability requirements).\n\n * Degree (or equivalent experience) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Proven ability to deliver energy management, carbon reduction, and decarbonization
