Learning Support Team Leader
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £32,040 to £35,179 per annum. Plus generous benefits including:

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as the Learning Support Team Leader. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and experience supporting learners with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
Applicants should have significant experience working within an educational environment, preferably at the further education level, supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The successful candidate will have experience managing and supervising a team of learning support practitioners, providing guidance, training, and support to staff. They should be adept at implementing inclusive practices and interventions to improve student outcomes.
Key attributes include excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to assess students' needs and develop tailored support plans, and strong organisational and time-management skills. Familiarity with best practices in inclusive teaching, differentiation, assessment strategies, and experience using assistive technologies is essential.
A strong commitment to inclusion and helping students reach their full potential is vital. The candidate should be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the College
We are a large, regional college serving York and North Yorkshire, with a diverse student body including school leavers, apprentices, adult students, and higher-level students.
Our education options range from entry level to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and professional courses. We offer a wide range of apprenticeships, A-Level subjects, vocational courses, and T-Levels. We are part of the Yorkshire and Humber Institute of Technology (IoT), focusing on increasing higher-level technical skills for employers.
