Overview
Graduate Project Engineer role at TieTalent/DPS Group, Glenrothes, Scotland, United Kingdom. The primary responsibility is to oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to specification, while maintaining the highest level of Health and Safety over the full project lifecycle. The role requires collaboration across DPS Group departments to manage personnel, budgets and project planning, and may involve significant time on site in addition to office work.
Responsibilities
* Promote HSEQ procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with DPS Group procedures and legal obligations.
* Assist in maintaining the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001) and other certifications.
* Act as client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations of both client and DPS Group.
* Collaborate with Vendors and across DPS Group departments (including Automation Process Control, Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning) to ensure satisfactory project completion.
* Manage project financials, ensuring departments operate within budget.
* Build and develop positive relationships with customers; serve as primary contact for technical and implementation aspects of the project.
* Develop technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontract works and manage works to meet delivery times and quality standards; check competency of contract personnel prior to commencement of works.
* Develop project plans with Microsoft Project in collaboration with the client and department managers, and manage/update the plan throughout the project lifecycle.
* Generate, control and submit project-related documentation in a timely manner.
* Complete training to a professional standard and maintain Continuous Personal Development through available channels or platforms.
* Report incidents, accidents or near misses to the HSEQ Manager or Project Manager and support HSEQ documentation as required.
What Do You Need?
* Electrical Engineer / Electronic Engineer / Control Systems Engineer / Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience with a recognised apprenticeship.
* Demonstrable experience delivering EC&I projects.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* ECS H&S card (preferred).
