The successful candidate be working 10am to 7pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with prior experience working in transport planning and scheduling. A good geographical knowledge is essential. Key responsibilities for our Transport Planner are: Create daily transport plans for timber and sheet material deliveries throughout the South-West region. Optimise routing for a fleet of rigid vehicles to ensure maximum utilisation. Strong problem solving ability and the capacity to make decisions in fast‑changing operational environments. Excellent communication skills for working with drivers, hauliers, warehouse staff, sales teams and customers to ensure service reliability. Handle issues such as re-deliveries, failed deliveries, customer‑specific delivery requirements and returns. Strong understanding of HGV operations and load security. Organising vehicle inspections, servicing and repairs. Ensure compliance with driver hours and working time regulations.
