What you would be doing
As an Assistant Contracts Negotiator, you will play a vital role in supporting world-class academic research by managing low-complexity, high-volume contracts. These include Confidentiality Agreements (CDAs/NDAs), Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), and Amendment/Variation Agreements. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that ensures timely and accurate processing of essential research-related agreements.
* Review and process standardised contract templates and low-risk agreements.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with institutional policies.
* Support the Contracts Negotiator in managing urgent requests and maintaining service continuity.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to the team’s contract portfolio clean-up and archiving initiatives.
You will be working with a wide range of internal teams and external partners, helping to facilitate collaborations while safeguarding the university’s interests.
What we are looking for

* Has a basic understanding of contractual principles and ideally some experience in handling agreements, either in a university, legal, or administrative setting.
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
* Communicates clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
* Is proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Works well independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to excellent service delivery.
