Salary & Bonuses
£14.89 – £18.35 per hour (dependent on experience).
Annual bonus: £3000.
Welcome bonus: £1000 (paid after four weeks of service).

Overview
The Sidcup Care Home offers nursing and residential care with a modern, homely environment, including dining rooms, lounges, cinema lounge, gardens, hairdressing salon, and private lounge. Residents receive personalized medical reviews through weekly GP visits and a range of nutritious meals prepared by the kitchen team. Activities include quizzes, bingo, film afternoons, board games, arts & crafts, local trips, entertainers, tai chi, holistic massage, and aromatherapy.
Responsibilities
* Create varied and nutritional menus aligned with residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
* Monitor residents’ dietary requirements, visiting them to tailor menus when necessary.
* Lead, train and mentor kitchen staff to deliver excellent dining experiences.
* Maintain high standards of cooking technique and food safety.
* Manage mandatory paperwork in line with COSHH, HACCP, company policies, budgets.
* Place orders and oversee deliveries of food and supplies.
* Prepare catering for special events and seasonal activities (e.g., summer fetes, Christmas parties, birthdays).
Qualifications & Key Skills
* Passion for cooking with experience in a fresh food kitchen and relevant hygiene certificates.
* Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with an innovative approach.
* Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
