Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on a permanent basis for our client based in Feltham
4 on 4 off
6am - 6pm
£33k - £35k
Duties include:
* Manage the goods received and ensure correct area is used for breakdown
* Ensure all product has temperature taken on arrival
* Break down product and store at correct temperature
* Ensure pallets are labelled correctly
* Ensure photos are taken and sent to office team of any damaged product
* Ensure Warehouse is kept clean and tidy
* X-ray Screening:
* Ensure that freight shipments comply with all relevant import and export regulations, including customs and security requirements
* Verify that the cargo's documentation matches the visual inspection results and is in compliance with applicable laws
* Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when handling potentially hazardous or sensitive materials
* Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate authorities
* Ensure ALL doors are closed when not in operation as per security protocol
* Document and report any suspicious or non-compliant cargo to the Warehouse Director
* Maintain accurate records of all screened shipments, including X-ray images and inspection results
* Support the company’s food safety policy by observing good personal hygiene practice and reporting any illness to the Warehouse Director
* Communicate any security or compliance issues to supervisors or relevant authorities
* Stay current on advancements in X-ray screening technology and freight inspection methods
Ideal Candidate
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 5 year checkable history
* Previous experience operating X-ray screening equipment is preferred
* Forklift trained
* Knowledge of customs and security regulations related to freight and cargo
* Attention to detail and the ability to detect irregularities in X-ray images
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
