With over 75 years' experience delivering high-quality installations for major retail brands across Ireland and the UK, this organisation is renowned for its strong reputation, repeat business and commitment to safety, innovation and excellence. Operating across NI & ROI, they continue to expand their specialist health & safety function to support a sustained pipeline of retail, commercial and bespoke fit-out projects. Your new role As Senior SHEQ Advisor / Manager, you will take a leading role in delivering a robust Health & Safety function across the business. This position will be based in South Down, with regular travel to project sites across NI & ROI. You will ensure full compliance with Irish & UK health, safety and construction legislation, including PSDP and PSCS requirements. Working closely with the design, project and site teams, you will support all H&S activity from early planning stages through to project completion. Your responsibilities will include conducting site audits and inspections, managing SWPs, RAMS, risk assessments and COSHH documentation, supporting tender submissions, and leading accident/incident investigations through root-cause analysis. You will also develop and deliver safety training, inductions, toolbox talks and workshops, while driving behavioural safety initiatives across the organisation. This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing the company's integrated safety management system, ensuring that a strong safety culture is upheld across all project teams and subcontractors. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will bring: Extensive experience in a Health & Safety role within construction, fit-out, manufacturing or a similar multi-site environment A relevant health & safety qualification Strong working knowledge of Irish & UK safety legislation, including PSDP / PSCS Experience leading H&S activities across fast-paced, client-occupied or multi-site environments Excellent communication, advisory and influencing skills Full driving licence and flexibility to travel across NI & ROI Additional certifications such as QQI Manual Handling Instructor or Occupational First Aid would be advantageous.
