As a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the commercial aspects of design and build projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for managing project costs, budgets, and procurement activities, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all commercial aspects of design and build projects, from inception to completion.
Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
Procure materials, subcontractors, and services in a cost-effective manner.
Oversee contract administration, including variations and claims management.
Provide commercial support to project teams and stakeholders.
Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Essential Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying is essential.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager role.
Strong commercial acumen and experience in design and build projects.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in cost management software and MS Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Full UK driving licence.
