Prime Life is looking for passionate and dedicated care professionals to join our friendly team as a Bank Care Assistant. We have several vacancies and are keen to meet with candidates soon for interviews.
This role will be based at Loran House Care Home in Hull. The home is specially designed to cater for the needs of 46 residents who have age‑related, physical and mental health conditions. It offers a reablement service and supports short‑stay respite care after hospital discharge, ensuring a safe return home once rehabilitated. Candidates must be patient, understanding and respectful of residents’ abilities, promoting independence.

Responsibilities of our Bank Care Assistant
* Assist residents with personal hygiene and dressing for the day, or retiring to bed for the evening
* Support residents to dine at mealtimes and maintain good nutrition and hydration
* Encourage residents to mobilise safely around the home, with the support of mobility aids and specialist equipment
* Provide friendship and companionship, and accompany residents on social outings or appointments
* Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentationParticipate as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage with other care professionals when required, to promote residents’ health and well‑being
* Welcoming family members to the home and assisting with enquiries
What we’re looking for in our Bank Care Assistant
To be successful, you should have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided. Ideal candidates are patient, understanding, respectful and able to support residents with age‑related conditions, life‑limiting health conditions, physical disabilities and dementia. An understanding of dementia would be beneficial.
