Are you an organised and detail-focused administrator with experience supporting the recruitment and onboarding process? We’re recruiting for a Senior Onboarding Administrator to join a well-established organisation on a hybrid basis in Welwyn Garden City. This is a key role within the onboarding function, suitable for someone who brings strong compliance experience, confidence managing high-volume recruitment activity, and the potential to step into a team leader position. About the Role: As the Senior Onboarding Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring all new starters experience a smooth and efficient onboarding process. Acting as a point of knowledge for colleagues across the business and within the onboarding team, you’ll provide guidance, resolve queries, and drive best practice across all compliance and onboarding activity. You will support the internal recruitment function while managing a high-volume caseload of new hires, particularly within a highly regulated 0-hour temporary workforce. You will also assist with process improvements, maintaining high compliance standards, and supporting junior members of the team. Temp to Perm Opportunity Salary: up to £40,000 Hybrid – Welwyn Garden City (2 days per week in the office) Candidates must be able to drive due to rural office location Key Responsibilities: Act as a senior point of contact for onboarding queries internally and within the team Provide support, guidance, and day-to-day escalation management for junior administrators Collect and process all relevant new starter documentation Carry out reference checks and follow up where required Initiate and manage DBS checks, ensuring compliance standards are consistently met Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) Oversee onboarding for a high-volume, compliance-driven 0-hour temporary workforce Send out training links and ensure completion ahead of start dates Book staff uniforms and manage logistics Ensure all onboarding tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner Support continuous improvement across onboarding and compliance processes What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in an administrative role within recruitment, onboarding, or HR Experience working in a high-compliance environment, ideally with temporary or high-volume recruitment A confident communicator who can act as a trusted point of knowledge for the wider business and onboarding team Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail Proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently Experience with DBS checks, reference requests, and ATS systems is highly desirable Team-leader potential, with the ability to support and guide others This vacancy is being advertised by SRM Recruitment – Welwyn Garden City office.
